More sun than clouds today, a little breeze—and a temperature that topped 50 degrees (F) by midday. With such a mild December, what will April have in store?
Such a lovely day, in fact, that about the time Jack and I started up Beech Hill, I’d already Decided we should hike all trails for a change. Which we did. It was nice for both of us, recognizing all the familiar trees and scents and curves in the wooded trails so many months since our last visit.
Notable birds today were a couple Yellow-Rumped Warblers hanging out in the big clumps of bayberry. Otherwise, mostly crows.
Tonight is mild and starry. Long-range forecasts, from what I’m told, have no snow in ’em until mid-January. Sucks if you’re a skier.
