Did a mishmash of desk work today, which left me feeling pretty satisfied. Then I went ahead and took Jack on our usual hike today—after getting yesterday off to give his (minor) wounds a chance to heal, he seemed his usual self again—and we had a good time. A hot time, but a good one.
It might’ve been the hottest day of the year—surely one of the steamiest. Not many people chose to walk up and down Beech Hill. Dragonflies, though, a few bird species (although most kept to the shadows). Ripe berries of various sorts. Butterflies.
I write this at shortly after 10 p.m. (ET), and things are finally cooling off a bit. Will be running the fan tonight on “Medium.”
