Lovely, warm day. Accomplished a lot of desk work, and then figured it was prudent to have a nice long bike ride. Ahhh—twenty miles of sweat and evaporative cooling.
Then a late Beech Hill hike with Jack. No thunderheads today. Warm and calm. More conspicuous birds, dragonflies, butterflies. Happened upon a young Field Sparrow that was chipping angrily at us. Juvie towhees, too, and other sparrows. Waxwings. Lots of youths about.
Got the fans going this evening. Just moving the air around.
