Hummingbirds in flight

Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 07 August 2015.

Ruby-throated Hummingbird.

This might’ve been my favorite day this summer, weather-wise. A warm sun, but cool air. Lush, fragrant. Plenty of birds at Beech Hill.

Cedar Waxwing, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 07 August 2015.

Cedar Waxwing.

Saw at least one more yellowrump, meaning they’ve begun moving around. Spotted a young Chestnut-sided Warbler hunting for itself. Plenty of waxwings still. And twice saw hummingbirds flying swiftly over the barrens.
