Saw my first waxwings of winter today, in the parking lot of Hannaford, where I’d gone to pick up a few groceries, dining on the fruit of ornamental cherry trees. Most were Cedar Waxwings, but there was at least one Bohemian in there.

Several birds on the hill earlier, also, including a fleet Brown Creeper that I didn’t get a photo of. Randomly, while en route to places, I spotted pigeons, a mourning dove, and a red-tail being harassed by crows.

Big storm coming tomorrow sometime. Might need to bring snowshoes Wednesday.
