Sun this morning, and lots of snow on everything. Didn’t expect many birds to be working the scrub with all the globs of snow stuck to everything—but up the mountain trail, dog and I encountered house finches, juncos—and nice-sized flocks of goldfinches.
(Growing to love the voices of Lesser Goldfinches, so different from their eastern counterparts.)
