A relatively uneventful hike. Sunny, with my first true “inversion” here, when the air turns over in the valley, leading to a sort of high desert smog. Didn’t seem to bother us any, and I got a look at a handful of bird species.
One bit of drama: Jack was minding his own business when he got jumped on the trail by a little old lady dog and ended up with a cut lip. This seemed to depress him for most of the rest of the day.
Seems a little better this evening, though.
