Dog in a squall.

Hiked early. First ones up the hill. Warm but windy—and snow squalls about. In fact, as soon as Jack and I reached the summit, a wild squall blew across. It was crazy.

A few birds, but no photos in such conditions. However, back home, I watched a good-sized flock of turkeys dash across Route 1.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
