Wind-Chill

Tuesday, February 26th, 2019
Crow with snack, Rockport, Maine, 26 February 2019.
Crow with snack.

I knew it would be cold, and it was. Not so literally cold as much as wind-chilly. Fact is, the west-southwest wind helped blow us up the hill. Can’t remember feeling such strong insistent gusts. I’d have to say this morning’s was the coldest hike of the winter so far.

That record could be broken tomorrow, though.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
