A cold, clear, calm Beech Hill hike this morning. Nine birds on my list—but the only one I saw was a grouse we flushed near the parking lot. The rest were voices.

So I stopped by the village, where I knew I’d find the local pigeon flock. And I took some pictures.

Beech Hill List
Beginning at 9 a.m., I hiked the open trail.
