Deer ticks on Jack.
I’ve seen orders of magnitude more deer ticks this fall than any other autumn in my thirty-plus years in Maine. Today, I plucked about sixteen or eighteen off Captain Jack—a couple just from fallen back yard leaves. Also saw two Ruffed Grouse in trees.

Do you see the grouse?
