Buncha desk work, a few errands, and a quick midday hike with Jack. We’ve had some precipitation lately—now-melted snow and some rain—so the Beech Hill trail has gone a little muddy, but we don’t care. Nobody else up there when we arrived (kind of surprising), but we did meet another man and dog on our way down.
Counted several species (croaking raven perked up my ears), but only saw chickadees. Many chickadees.
This morning I heard—but could not locate—a Red-bellied Woodpecker up in the back yard trees. After a mostly overcast days, the night sky has some stars and a moon in it.
