Awoke to a coolly overcast morning. No breeze, but I wore a scarf.
It was a hike both dog and I enjoyed (along with a couple conversations with other humans and dogs), but my list ended up with the fewest bird species in a good long while.
The last—a solitary singing goldfinch as we returned to the trailhead—kept me from going without a photo, though.
Finally snow this week, or so they say.
