White-breasted Nuthatch.
Sunny to start, but soon clouds began to roll in, and the wind began to howl in the windows, and come to find out we were supposed to get some snow and/or rain, so dog and I headed out to Beech Hill in late morning.

Pussy willow.
One car in the lot. Quite a few birds up there considering the wind—and the fact that soon enough it began to spit snow. Thought I heard the liquid croak of a raven, then spotted the bird heading off toward the west. Heard a kinglet down by the parking lot.
Mostly it was wet snow that fell in afternoon. Whitened things up a bit. Temps hovered right around freezing.
Noticed the first budding pussy willow on the hill. The stars tonight are bright.
