Scrambling

Turkey Vulture, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 07 October 2015.

Turkey Vulture.

Scrambling still—dump run, quick shop, probably the last mow of this lawn—but I swung by Beech Hill, as usual. Harrier, TV, corvids, little birds, ’rumps. Also a lovely patchy sky of blue and cloud. The first flames of fire in the foliage. Crows hollering in the distance.

October barren, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 07 October 2015.

A warm bright day. And now a cool, dark night.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
