Drifts in the dooryard

Friday, February 13th, 2015
Wind chill, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 13 February 2015.

Wind chill.

Sunny, windy, cold. My man Tyler Southard’s forecast calls for something like two feet of new snow tomorrow night—windblown snow. More snow this winter than any of the previous thirty-four I’ve experienced in Maine. (Have I noted this?)

American Robins, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 13 February 2015.

American Robins.

Still, though, a flock of robins at Beech Hill. And a solitary flicker.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
