Snow birds

American Robin, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 12 February 2015.

American Robin.

More snow is on the way—one or two feet of it, coming Sunday. There’s a load of it everywhere already, in gigantic drifts and piles. No place to put anymore.

At snowy Beech Hill today, I saw a flock of robins dining on old sumac and a pair of Yellow-rumped Warblers flitting low overhead.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
