March

Friday, March 1st, 2013
Black-capped chickadee, Beech Hill, Rockport, Maine, 01 March 2013.

Black-capped chickadee.

A little snow fell over night. Colder today, right around freezing. Breezy, but not too bad. More snow now and then through the day.

Work, errands, suspicions that I’m getting sick, maybe. But the two dogs and I hit the hill this afternoon in some very light snow, and the hike was a nice one. Got scolded by a chickadee and spotted a big flock of robins like fruit in a tree. The slush on the trail had frozen pretty good, which made footing easier. I probably didn’t even have to wear my gloves.

So it’s March already. February always seems to zip by quickly—I wonder why.
