More freezing rain overnight, enough to create a sort of wonderland in the open fields of Beech Hill Preserve. Dog and I were the only ones up there for most of our hike, and again we encountered few birds—to start. But toward the end of our time up there, we added enough to reach ten species.
Nothing too notable, other than a random robin down in the woods. At the very end, I got my first bird photo of the day: a Brown Creeper very near the trailhead.
Later, at home, it began to snow lightly. Maybe an inch (maybe less), but nice to see some white stuff in winter for a change.
