Rained all night last night, and was raining this morning—up until about the time dog and I would typically head up Beech Hill. The weather radar showed a pause in the precipitation, so off we went.
And what a wonderful, dim, lowery, damp, and—yes—showery hike we had. There happened to be a Coastal Mountains Land Trust directors and staff meeting at Beech Nut this morning, but note until about the time we’d return. Still, we ran into a few people who we were happy to see.
And we ran into a few birds. Most fun was a gang—yes, a murder—of crows. The fact that they actually posed for a photo made my morning, pretty much.
(That and my usual couple hours outside with Captain Jack, my best friend.)
