It sure enough snowed. It started late last night, and there was an inch or so on the ground this morning. Dog and I finally got on our way in late morning, with light snow still coming down.
Right away, I heard a cacophony of finches. Siskins, turns out—and good thing I grabbed a distant photo, ’cause they flew before I could get near enough for a closeup. And the only other bird that posed was the scrub-jay without tail-feathers.
Also saw two juncos, and a whole bunch of deer. Nice to have a snow day for a change.
