Snowed a few inches overnight. Snowing lightly as the sky lightened this morning, revealing a world of rich, slate blue.

Jack and I slogged through the snow, spied some deer, encountered several bird species. Nothing outlandish, just the usual familiar winter birds.

A little more wet snow expected over the next two or three days, but the forecast shows sunny weather for a week thereafter.

As the sky tonight dimmed toward gloaming, I spotted a couple robins in a tree across the street.
