Jack was back in the saddle today—or at least at the end of the (loosely held) leash, hiking up Beech Hill. He did fine. We did fine. In fact, right off the bat, I spied a cooperative Brown Creeper that actually froze for a few seconds so I could snap a pic. (I think because it got a glimpse of the dog below it.)
On the way back, similarly, a chickadee came near because—no doubt—it noticed a quiet, slow-moving dog nearby. Grabbed a shot if it also.
Brisk, frosty, 20s—rising into the 30s later. A littl ebit of snow coming tomorrow, sounds like.
