Larks and Geese, Quiet and Still

Horned Lark, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 24 November 2016.

Horned Lark.

Canada Geese, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 24 November 2016.

Canada Geese.

Nippy Thanksgiving morning—in the 20s (F). The voices of geese preceded my spotting a long string of ’em headed south. Also spotted my first American Tree Sparrow of the year. Got a good look at a flock of larks. And I heard the voice of an owl.

It was so still and quiet on Beech Hill today.

So quiet and still.
