Another sunny, unseasonably warm weekend day. Temps in the 40s (F). Lots of people at Beech Hill.
Jack and I ended up there kinda late today, about forty-five minutes before sunset. The late-fall birds were making a last sweep of the landscape for food—woodpeckers on the trunks of trees, chickadees and nuthatches poking about in the branches, a solitary harrier cruising above the barren. Bronze light all around.
Tonight the sky is a starry one. You can feel it getting colder out there.
