A gray morning, and kinda cold. A trio of Mourning Doves were stalking the back yard, and a crow dipped some unidentified morsel in the still-running stream. I’d heard rain was inbound, so Jack and I took a late-morning hike for a change.
A few others had the same idea—squeeze in a walk up Beech Hill—but we only encountered one other dog. Not many birds up there. Began to drizzle just as we got back to the parking lot.
And then it did rain—and is still raining now, tonight. Might even get a little snow, so they say.
