Christmas Day began overcast, drippy, and warm—but by mid-afternoon the sky had lightened, and soon the clouds fled entirely. A brilliantly sunny afternoon. Jack and I took quick advantage.
Many other folks did, too, it being a holiday. We saw perhaps thirty humans and a half-dozen dogs at Beech Hill Preserve.
And a handful of Christmas waxwings.
