Sunny, cold, and windy—with gusts. Really strong gusts blowing old snow all over the place. Whereas we missed that last blizzard (which split in two, from what my meteorologist friend tells me), it dumped on York County, to the south, and Eastport to—well, down east of here. Those places have broken daily snow total records and are walking/driving between have high, wind-sculpted drifts.
Here, I just braved a cold (maybe 10 degrees (F)) gusty day up Beech Hill with Jack. Which was, frankly, invigorating. Even surprised a flicker hovering low, nose into the wind, for a few seconds before it flapped away.
Gonna stay extra-cold, though, it appears. I don’t too much mind. Still have shoveling to do, though.
