It’s happening

Overcast morning with a little light snow first thing. I had an appointment in Rockport Village and by the time I emerged, the snow had turned to drizzle. At one point, I was walking around outside in my shirtsleeves and hardly noticing any discomfort.

Heard a bunch of birds at Beech Hill with dog this afternoon, but I didn’t see any. Still drizzling at that point. Not windy—soggy, drippy, wet.

Spring is about to erupt. I can feel it happening.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
