Shrike Six

Northern Shrike, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 27 March 2014.

Northern Shrike.

Very long day of work, very late hike of Beech Hill. Was surprised to find a harrier floating around, then a crow flew over, then I saw a shrike. It’s at least the third shrike I’ve seen up there—probably the fifth or sixth or seventh actually. Let’s call it Shrike Six.

Beech Hill List
Beginning at 4:15 p.m., I hiked the open trail.
