A cold one. A bright one. Out in late morning, along with many others, doing Saturday errands. Ended up at Beech Hill with Jack about midday.
Only one other hiking party up there: a friendly couple and dog. But also a flock of robins. Crow and flicker. A solitary, silent raven. And a pair of snow buntings grazing in the grass on the roof of Beech Nut. I tried to creep around for photos, but the birds hid in the grass until I finally must’ve spooked ’em, when they flew tittering away.
A cold night, too. Ten degrees (F) when I looked just now.
