Sun and wind and chill. And crows. And house sparrows across the road. Also coots in Chickawaukie Lake, which we’ll tally up tomorrow during the Christmas Bird Count. It will (as usual) be freakin’ cold out there on the breakwater first thing.
Three birds at Beech Hill today: the coots (could see the raft of ’em with my naked eye), a flicker (voice), and a robin (voice). Also a dog up there. And a human. And chill. Wind. And a setting sun.
I’ll report back tomorrow on the CBC, y’all.
