American Robin, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 04 January 2023.
American Robin.

A cloudy morning after a drippy night, with moisture in the air and a slight breeze. Didn’t expect a lot of bird activity, and sure enough got little. However, It was nice to see a big ol’ flock of Robins—one of which stopped in a shady place to pose.

A “wintry mix” is forecast for tomorrow. We shall see.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
