Black-capped Chickadee, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 26 December 2016.

Black-capped Chickadee.

Counted nine bird species at Beech Hill this morning. None gave me more than a passing chance at a photo—including a late young Bald Eagle that flapped by just as we got back to the truck.

But that’s OK. I actually like this one photo of an elusive chickadee.
