Life is fleeting. Art only slightly less so. In the great scheme of things, I mean.

Did I mention a person I’ve been close to died last week? My daughter’s mother. Suddenly.  Death sort of puts things in perspective.

But so does the relentless march toward spring.

Beginning at 5:15 p.m., I hiked the open trail.

(No birds seen or heard on the hill today.)
