Snowball, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 10 February 2014.

Snowball.

Snowed all night, softening every outdoor edge and corner. About midday, though, it stopped, and then the sun came out. I hiked Beech Hill with Jack in the sun for a change. Other folks up there today, too. And some birds for a change.

Now it’ll get winter-cold.

Possibly more storms on the way, though, I hear.

Beech Hill List
Beginning at 2:15 p.m., I hiked the open trail.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
