Rain

Duck weather (American Black Duck), Rockport Harbor, Maine, 24 January 2019.
Duck weather (American Black Duck).

Today? More rain than I can remember. In winter, no less. High temp of about 50 degrees (F), crazy high winds. No letup at all. Jack was lucky: he got to stay home.

But I conquered the flooding hill. Essentially I was hiking in the middle of a stream—or streams. Interrupted occasionally by deep slushy stretches. Astonishingly, I spotted a flicker up there today.

High tide at the harbor. Seemed appropriate to take a photo of a duck.
