The sky started bright but soon begat an overcast. Warmish, though, if somewhat breezy. That roof is going up in a hurry across the street.
We were the only ones at Beech Hill on our usual afternoon hike (“usual,” as in “it seems like lately we’ve gotten there at a quarter past three”), which is a good thing, turns out, because—oops—somehow I left the driver’s door of my pickup wide open. (Although, now that I think of it, had someone else driven into the parking lot, they might well have shut my door and I’d never have known.)
Not much happening up there—unless you’re a furtive rodent in the brush, or a chickadee or a titmouse or a goldfinch. Or a woodpecker. Or a crow.
Supposed to rain a lot over night tonight. Gonna be a wet one tomorrow.
