Gullywasher

Oak leaf, near Clam Cove, Rockport, Maine, 06 August 2014.

Oak leaf.

Had an early meeting on Meadow Street. The back field had just been mowed. In the field stalked three Wild Turkeys, and in the wood beyond sang a talented Hermit Thrush.

Hard rain, near Clam Cove, Rockport, Maine, 06 August 2014.

Hard rain.

Otherwise, an animated day—animated clouds, with sun shining through from time to time until a big rain came. Thunder, then a gullywasher. Kind of fun.

Still no Beech Hill, but that’s OK. I’ll get up there again soon.

Today’s List

1. Red-eyed Vireo (v)
2. American Crow
3. Song Sparrow (v)
4. Herring Gull
5. Mourning Dove
6. Wild Turkey
7. Hermit Thrush (v)

v = Voice only
