Desolation

Beech Nut, Beech Hill, Rockport, Maine, 12 March 2013.

Beech Nut.

The Beech Hill trail today was kind of post-apololyptic-looking. Deep mud or slick ice. Drippy acid rain. (Well, I don’t know how acidic it was, really, but it gave a fine impression.) Much snow had melted. The grass was brown. Crow and chickadee.
