New Year’s Slush

Slush on the trail.

Snow arrived overnight last night but had turned to rain by dawn. By mid-morning, the storm had passed, leaving wind and warmish temperatures and slush. Only one bird species up there this morning: a couple crows.

So dog and I swung by the harbor, where I counted six water species—including a chillin’ Herring Gull.
