Jack and I took a quick dash up Beech Hill late this afternoon after the rain had turned back into fog. The day had begun foggy, but rain arrived about the same time as a crew I’d hired to haul away a bunch of stuff from the place I’m moving out of in a couple of weeks. The dash was quick not so much because of the weather as the state of wild scramble I find myself in. I’ve moved house a lot, but not for a while.
We were the only members of our species on the hill, Canus canus and I. Still the most abundant animal species: Yellow-rumped Warbler.
