Had a ton to do today to get ready for our Monhegan trip, my daughter and I, so the fates brought me to Beech Hill at high noon. With Jack. Few obvious birds (missed a nice photo of a phoebe thanks to auto-focus), but butterflies abounded in the sun, and a fog bank cloaked the bay islands. Ended up chatting with fellow hikers for forty-five minutes, I bet.
On the way back down, I noticed a crazy cloud hovering over near Mount Megunticook.
I’ll be checking in from the island tomorrow.
