Red-tailed Hawk.
We met no other human or dog on the Beech Hill trail today. Jack and I took a quick, cold hike under blue-gray overcast skies and above a packed snow track. Little birds at the parking lot, at the summit a solitary red-tail flying down the eastern slope.
Three hills.
Work all day, quick hike. Cold-stung fingers and toes.
To bed early tonight.
