Seems kind of cold and ice for St. Patrick’s Day. I mean, it’s mid-March already—it should be time for woodcocks to begin arriving. Right? Well, I suppose every year is different, and it looks like spring is gonna be delayed a bit on this particular trip around the sun.
Worked a bunch on a new historical handwriting font, then grabbed Jack, and off we went.
Damn cold hill. Windy. Sunny, but windy. Icy, slippery trail. But I did see a vulture soaring in the cold (wondered how it felt about the temperature), some crows, and some distant, wheeling gulls. Heard a couple of chickadees off somewhere. Took a picture of some alder cones on ice.
Up and back in a hurry this day.
