Sun and cold, sun and cold. Had an inch or two of snow overnight, which was a good thing, because it put a bit of distance between the boot sole and the slick ice frozen up after yesterday’s rain. Windy, too. Sun and cold and wind.
But we hiked Beech Hill, Jack and I, as the afternoon grew older. No cars in the lot, no owls on the hill. Just a solitary man hiking, and a the faint notes of a distant, solitary chickadee.
Lovely skies up there, though.
