Before the storm

Wednesday, February 6th, 2013
Evening trail, Beech Hill, Rockport, Maine, 06 February 2013.

Evening trail.

Man, what a busy day. Had to take my truck in for service but spent the rest of it working on four or five projects at once. Picked up the truck late, hit Beech Hill with Jack. Saw a crow up there, but that was the only bird. The sky was nice, though, with a great gray cloud barely shielding the sun and great pink-backed, whale-like cumuli floating offshore, just where they should be.

Now all eyes are on a big snowstorm rumored to be arriving just in time for the weekend.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
