Cloudless cold

Tuesday, January 13th, 2015

Yellow-rumped Warbler, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 13 January 2015.

Yellow-rumped Warbler.

A cloudless day. I found this out about four hours after I got to work, when the sun rose brightly against the snowy landscape. Took a break to hike with Jack—and, man, was it a cold and windy walk up and down Beech Hill.

Which made seeing at least one yellow-rump up there all the stranger.
