A little sweaty

Yellow-rumped Warbler, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 15 October 2014.

Yellow-rumped Warbler.

Had a work thang today. Took up nearly all my time—but I did manage a screamingly quick Beech Hill hike with Jack, my dog.

Warm. Seventies (F). Crazy warm. Lovely foliage under a gray sky. Got a photo of a yellow-rump showing it’s rump for a change. Crickets trilling still. Got a little sweaty up there.

Lovely cool evening. Cool enough to have the windows open.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
