As promised, snowflakes began to fall at about noon this overcast day. As promised, the snow grew heavier in afternoon—and heavier still in evening. Also as promised, the snow turned into sleet and freezing rain and just plain rain tonight.

Still, Jack and I hiked Beech Hill (where a few small birds were also braving the storm).

Beech Hill List
Beginning at 2:45 p.m., I hiked the open trail.

1. Black-capped Chickadee
2. White-breasted Nuthatch
3. Tufted Titmouse

Elsewhere
